Mr. Navin Agarwal, was appointed on the Board of the Company and as its Non-Executive Vice-Chairman since March 2, 2001. He was appointed as the Non Executive Chairman of the Board on 19th March 2012. He has completed the Owner/President Management Programme at Harvard University and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College. He has over 25 years experience in business strategy, and managing overall performance and growth of the Company. He is also on the Board of Vedanta Resources Plc., UK, as its Deputy Executive Chairman, Sterlite Industries (India) Limited as its Executive Vice-Chairman. He is also on the Board The Madras Aluminium Company Limited, Konkola Copper Mines Plc, Cairn India Limited as their Chairman. Besides he is on the Board of Hindustan Zinc Limited, Sterlite Iron & Steel Company Limited, Vedanta Aluminium Limited, Vedanta Resources Holdings Limited, and Vedanta Resources Investment Limited as their Director. Mr Navin Agarwal is also a member of the Finance Standing Committee of the Board.

Mr. Sushil Kumar Roongta, has been on the Board of the Company since 31st January 2012 and as Vice Chairman of the Company since 19th March 2012. He is also the Managing Director of Vedanta Aluminium Limited, Chairman of Talwandi Saboo Power Limited and Director in Sterlite Energy Limited. He has done his BE (Electrical) from BITS Pilani and is a gold medalist in PGDBM (International Trade) from IIFT, New Delhi. He is also a fellow member of All India Management Association. He is also on the Board of Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited, Shipping Corporation of India Limited, Jubilant Industries Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and ACC Limited. Mr Roongta holds important positions in various apex chambers.

Mr. Tarun Jain, has been on the Board of the Company since March 2, 2001. Mr. Jain has over 26 years of experience in the corporate finance, audit and accounting, tax and secretarial practice, strategic financial matters, including corporate finance, corporate strategy, business development and mergers and acquisitions. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India, besides being a Graduate of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. He is also on the Board of Sterlite Opportunities and Ventures Limited, Vedanta Aluminium Limited,Twinstar Holdings Limited, Sterlite USA Inc, Cairn India Limited, Sterlite Infra Limited, Vedanta Medical Research Foundation and Rajtaru Charity Foundation as their Director.

Mr. R. Kannan, was appointed as Director of the Company on 21st July 2011. He is a Post Graduate in Mathematics from Madras University, PGDMS from Bombay University and Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers with Industrial Finance. He has nearly 30 years experience in the areas of banking, merchant banking, mutual funds, stock broking and venture capital. He has been member of High Power Committees, appointed by the Government of India, for Stock Transfer Reforms, Bank Finance against stocks, entry norms for private sector mutual funds, Safety Net Mechanism for equity offerings, Bank finance for diamond trade, SEBI Deregulation for recognition of SROs in financial services. He is also on the Board of Orionsayi Consultant Private Limited, Lakecity Ventures Private Limited, Orient Press Limited, Mentis Soft Solutions Private Limited, Shasun Pharmaceuticals Limited, Ram Ratna Wires Limited, New leaf Educational Products Private Limited and Realtime Techsolutions Private Limited. He is also a member of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company.

Mrs. Anjali Anand Srivastava is an Indian Audit and Accounts Service officer of 1982 batch. She joined the service after completing her LLB from Lucknow University in 1981. Smt Anjali Anand Srivastava is, at present,  on deputation to Government of India and is working as joint Secretary and Financial Advisor in Ministry of Coal and in addition looking after the work of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor of the Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Smt Anjali Anand Srivastava is also a Government nominated part time Director on the Board of Directors of Coal India Ltd (CIL), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) and Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO).

Smt. Vinita Aggarwal is a Government Nominee Director with effect from September 10, 2012. Smt. Aggarwal holds a Doctorate in Economics and is an Indian Economic Service Officer of 1985 batch. Smt. Aggarwal presently holds the position of Economic Advisor to the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. Smt. Aggarwal has previously held the position of Director in Ministry of Women & Child Development.

Mr. Naresh Kumar is a Government Nominee Director with effect from September 10, 2012. Mr. Kumar holds degree in Bachelors of Engineering and Masters of Business Administration. Mr. Kumar is an Indian Administrative Service Officer of 1987 batch and is presently holding the position of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India. Mr. Kumar also holds the position of Director on the board of Hindustan Zinc Limited.

Mr. Gunjan Gupta, is B.E (Chemical Engineering) from IIT Roorkee and an MBA with specialisation in Marketing and Finance. He joined the Company in September 2005 as Vice President (Marketing) and was appointed as Business Head of the new Smelter in February 2007. He became Chief Executive Officer in March 2008 and Whole Time Director of the Company in October 2008. Mr. Gupta worked in Sales and Marketing Division of Tata Steel from 1990 to 1999. From 1999 to 2002 he worked with Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd in Sales and Marketing Division and became Head of Copper Marketing. During 2002 to 2003 he headed the marketing division of BALCO and from 2003 to 2005 he worked with Arcelor Mittal Group (then Mittal Steel) and was Director of Global Sales of Long Steel Products for the Central and European Steel Operations of the Group.
